Kanye West and Elon Musk are both prolific Twitter-users, offering minute-by-minute updates on their inner-most thoughts and feelings. We owe West for bits of wisdom like “The ego is overdone… like hoodies.” And from Musk we can enjoy such candidness as “I love anime,” or that “Ramen is sooo good.”

They both are generally, or were, thought of as leaders in their respective fields (until one of their social media got them in trouble with the law). Both have allowed us a window into their minds that we did not need, while boasting more than 20 million followers. In a way, West and Musk are sort of kindred spirits.

Dani Grant, an analyst for Union Square Ventures who makes web programs in her free time, also noticed that connection, so she built a game, called Kanye or Elon, that juxtaposes tweets from West and Musk, forcing you to guess who said which. Actually, it’s a lot harder than it sounds. For example can you guess who said, “Landscaping is a conversation with God”?

And it’s been a long time in the making. She keeps a list of projects that she hopes to get time for. “I wrote down ‘Kanye or Elon Tweet Quiz’ on May 9, which is around the time Elon was tweeting things like ‘I’m going to build a moat & fill it with candy’ so I really blame Elon Musk for all of this,” she said on Twitter.

Pointing to the surprising difficulty of the game, Grant revealed that her mom had better scores than the game’s creator. “My mom was in the top ten for a while under the name Dani’s Mom. I was so proud,” she added.
